Getting Sparkbooth to Recognize Webcam
Troubleshooting Webcam Detection Issues with Sparkbooth
If Sparkbooth is not recognizing or detecting your webcam, please follow these steps:
Configure Camera Settings
- Press F3 or click the camera button located in the upper-right corner of the main screen to open the camera settings.
- From the camera dropdown menu, select your webcam and click the apply button.
Check for Logitech Capture Software
- Ensure that the Logitech Capture software is not installed, as it is known to cause Sparkbooth to crash when selecting a webcam. If installed, uninstall Logitech Capture.
- As alternatives, you may install the Camera Settings or Logitech Webcam software (compatible with C910, C920
Check Windows Devices
When using a Windows operating system, it is important to verify the recognized devices. If the webcam is not detected as a device by Windows, Sparkbooth will be unable to utilize the webcam.
MacOS Webcam Permission
On Mac, you will be prompted by macOS to grant Sparkbooth permission to access the webcam. If you block Sparkbooth from accessing the camera, you will need to navigate to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and grant Sparkbooth access by enabling the checkmark.
