How to Trigger Each Photo
What is the Trigger Photo feature in Sparkbooth?
The Trigger Photo feature allows you to capture photos on command rather than using a countdown timer. Instead of automatically taking a photo after a countdown, the software waits for a designated keypress or button press, giving you complete control over when each photo is taken.
How do I enable the Trigger Photo feature?
To enable Trigger Photo:
- Go to the Photo Capture settings.
- Under Countdown, select None. Trigger each shot.
- Choose whether you want a Text Prompt or a Button to trigger the photo capture.
- If you select Text Prompt, instructions like “Press start to take photo” will appear.
- If you select Button, a button labeled with the trigger text will display for guests to press.
Can I customize the text for the Trigger Photo prompt or button?
Yes, you can customize the text displayed on the prompt or button. In the Trigger Text section, type your desired message. This text will show either as a notification or on the button, depending on the option you selected.
What happens after I press the button or key to trigger the photo?
Once the button or key is pressed, Sparkbooth will capture the photo instantly. After each shot, it will wait for another keypress or button press to take the next photo if multiple shots are configured.
Can I still use a countdown if I use the Trigger Photo feature?
No, when you select the Trigger Photo feature, it disables the countdown timer. This feature is designed to give full manual control for each photo, so a countdown is unnecessary.
What key or button can be used to trigger the photo?
You can configure Sparkbooth to wait for a specific keypress, typically the “Enter” or “Space” key, or enable an on-screen button for triggering. Many users like to use a USB controller as a trigger
What are the benefits of using the Trigger Photo feature?
The Trigger Photo feature is beneficial for events or sessions where timing needs to be precise or manually controlled, such as when coordinating group shots, ensuring everyone is ready, or creating a more interactive photo booth experience.
