Transfer Settings

Overview

You can back up your Sparkbooth configuration—or transfer it to another computer—by exporting your settings to a single “.sbs” file, then importing that file on the new installation. This process preserves everything you choose: general settings, photo layouts, screen overlays, green screen backgrounds, stickers, countdowns, counters, movie-file settings, and more.

  1. Exporting Your Settings
  2. Open Sparkbooth and click the gear icon (Settings).
  3. In the left menu, expand Advanced Settings and select Import/Export Configurations.
  4. Click the small “Advanced Export” chevron to reveal individual options.
  5. Check each component you want to include in your export: • Settings

    • Photo Layouts

    • Screen Overlays

    • Green Screen

    • Stickers

    • Countdowns

    • Counters

    • Movie Files

  6. Click Export…, choose a destination folder, and save the resulting “.sbs” file.

Additional FAQs

Q. Will exporting my settings also save my custom layouts and overlays?

A. Yes. Use the Advanced Export options to select exactly which elements to include—layouts, overlays, green-screen backgrounds, stickers, countdowns, etc.—before clicking Export.

Q. What if importing fails or some settings don’t appear?

A.

• Verify that you selected the correct “.sbs” file and that it is not zero bytes or otherwise corrupted.

• Ensure both Sparkbooth installations are running a compatible version.

• If issues persist, consult the Sparkbooth support documentation or contact their customer service team for assistance.

Q. Can I merge settings from multiple exports?

A. Not directly. Importing a new “.sbs” file will overwrite existing configurations. To combine settings, export individual components separately, then manually recreate any mixed configurations on the target installation.
