Enabling DSLR Taking Photo

If your camera fails or crashes when Sparkbooth DSLR takes a photo, the cause is usually the camera's exposure settings or how the camera handles live view. Try the following steps:

1. Check Your Camera's Exposure Settings

Automatic modes can cause errors if the camera cannot adjust the ISO, shutter speed, or aperture for your lighting conditions. Switch your camera to Manual mode and adjust the settings for your environment. Watch this video to learn how to adjust your camera's ISO, shutter speed, and aperture:

If you need to use automatic mode and focus, make to set the camera to quick focus if available.

2. Toggle "Pause liveview during photo"

Some cameras cannot take photos while live view is on. Open the camera settings dialog (Ctrl-3), expand Advanced Settings under the Video Source, and try toggling the Pause liveview during photo setting.

In the same Advanced Settings section, adjust the delay sliders based on when the problem occurs:

  • Increase the Error Delay if you are experiencing general camera errors.
