Setting Up Photo Kiosk
Sparkbooth Photo Kiosk lets your guests browse, print and share photos on a second computer—no more holding up your photo-booth line for extra prints. It’s included in Sparkbooth Commercial Suite: use one of your activation keys to unlock it.
SETUP OVERVIEW
- Host computer: runs Sparkbooth (your photo booth)
- Kiosk computer: runs Sparkbooth Photo Kiosk
- Network link and shared folder between them
SWITCHING INTO PHOTO KIOSK MODE
a. On your kiosk computer, open Sparkbooth and press F1 (fn+F1) → Advanced Settings → App Mode. b. Select “Photo Kiosk” and click “Switch.”
NETWORK & FOLDER SHARING
- Sparkbooth doesn’t provide network setup support. So you need to create a network connection:
- Ad-hoc Wi-Fi (macOS, Windows)
- Wi-Fi router/home network
- Ethernet (wired LAN) Consult your OS/router manual
- On the host (photo-booth) computer, share your Sparkbooth “Photo Folder”:
- macOS: System Preferences → Sharing → File Sharing → + (add folder)
- Windows: Right-click folder → Properties → Sharing → Advanced Sharing Confirm from the kiosk computer you can browse into this shared folder.
CONFIGURE SPARKBOOTH PHOTO KIOSK
- Launch Photo Kiosk, press F1 → General.
- Photo Folder → Change → point to the shared folder on the host computer.
- Enable “Cache Photos Locally” (improves performance over network).

- On kiosk, point Photo Folder to that local Dropbox subfolder.
- Disable “Cache Photos Locally” (files already local). 5. Dropbox will mirror each new photo instantly.

TIPS & BEST PRACTICES
- Prefer private wired or Wi-Fi router to prevent guest internet usage from interfering with setup.
- Prior to event, use clear kiosk cache via Settings → General if disk space runs low.
- For large events, archive old photos to free space.
- Always test the entire workflow (booth → network → kiosk) before your event.
With this setup and these on-screen controls, your guests can instantly browse, print and share photos without tying up your photo-booth—enjoy smooth, high-performance photo kiosking!
